YEVHEN MARKOVSKIY

Yevhen Markovskiy is an actor, director, and playwright who was born in Kherson. Since 2003 he has worked as a journalist for various print and electronic publications. He worked as a correspondent for the TV channels Inter, 1+1, and TRK Ukraine. He was one of the leaders of the Kherson Meyerhold Center and is the author of the plays Kill the Giver, Cuntsuffering, The Party, Dovboyoba, Scanning, ichloM, Cursed Creatures, Flowers and Roots, I’ll Put it in Good Hands, and Kachkonis. He has been a resident at the Royal Court Theater (London), and in theater programs in Berlin and Potsdam. His text, The Party, was translated into English, German, Polish, and Czech. Scanning and Cuntsuffering have been produced on stage.
